The job of the producer(s) is the least understood and most under-appreciated in Hollywood. Producers perform any or all of the following critical tasks on a successful motion picture: see the original vision, secure the essential rights, attach the critical elements, provide the necessary funding, oversee production---in short, by their often herculean efforts, they make the project happen.
So here's a shout-out to two hard working local producers who have a lot to smile about these days:
