While he waits to see if “The Fighter’’ earns a few Oscar nods, Mark Wahlberg is getting to work on his next project. Boston Casting is holding a casting call Saturday for boys between the ages of 8-11 to be in Wahlberg’s new film, “Ted.’’ (see www.bostoncasting.com for details.)
To be directed by “Family Guy’’ creator Seth MacFarlane and filmed around Boston next month, the movie follows an ordinary Boston guy, who, as a child, wished for his teddy bear to come to life. The wish came true, but the furry fellow becomes a foul-mouthed lout who interferes with his owner’s enjoyment of adulthood and women. Mila Kunis costars.
